The Weekly with Fred Schebesta #40: Be the ultimate creative expression of yourself

⚡️ Ticker Ventures: Should I integrate blockchain into my business?

⚡️ Watch: “Go Live! 10 Principles to Launch a Global Empire” Preface

⚡️ But first, creative expression on The Mentor with Mark Bouris podcast...

I was honoured to sit down for a virtual chat with Mark Bouris on his hit podcast, The Mentor.

We spoke about some of my most favourite topics: cryptocurrency and creativity.

My mission is to be the ultimate creative expression of myself and I encourage you to take on this challenge. Manifest this by how you present yourself to the world, how you behave and interact with others and open your perspective.

I think I got Mark onto the crypto train too! 🤑

There is no doubt that peer-to-peer transfers and exchanges, particularly in the decentralized finance space, is becoming the norm across the world. So when I was asked about whether a startup peer-to-peer marketplace should integrate blockchain and crypto into their business, the answer was an obvious choice for me.

On the latest episode of Ticker Ventures, I was joined by the team from Warrp, an app that uses crowd sourced pricing in its peer-to-peer marketplace.

Price discovery is an interesting feature and it’s a problem facing other markets, including cryptocurrency.

For example, what is the price of bitcoin? 🤔

While there are many exchanges quoting different prices, there is no central platform that determines the price.

This kind of technology could play a part in analysing the market and creating an actual, more accurate price of what Bitcoin is today.

It’s also an issue for stock markets. For example, what is the price of Apple shares? Who has the authority to determine that?

If there was a way to determine prices, it would impact price prediction markets, it would determine futures contracts, options prices for other markets. It would have a very big impact on all sorts of financial markets within the cryptocurrency space.

I also spoke about some of the opportunities to decentralise escrow, much like how the blockchain works where a network of computers are working together to validate each transaction. That’s a remarkable concept.

To the Warrp team, I celebrate your idea and look forward to seeing the next iteration of your business. 🙌🏼
